Australia: The Queensland Dreamworld theme park is currently closed, following the deaths of four visitors to the popular Sunshine State destination.

In a press conference late Tuesday, Dreamworlds CEO, Senior Queensland Police & Ambulance Officers stated:

• CEO: The incident occurred on the Thunder River Rapids ride, killing four adults. Staff are shocked and saddened, thoughts with family;
• QAS: Two male & two female victims: two were ejected but caught under the water of the ride. Two others were trapped beneath the craft. Attending Paramedics are deeply impacted by the events and will have peer support available to them. Injuries sustained were ‘incompatible’ with life.
• QPS:  Queensland Police remain on site, which remains a crime scene while Detectives and other authorities investigate.

The park will remain closed Wednesday.
